Surface-based movement (SBM) is a mod in 7 Days To Die: Mods & Texture Packs. With this mod, the world is no longer flat, but it's still possible to travel from one place to another. The speed of your move depends on the material you are walking on.

In the default version, the terrain is not a factor, and the movement speed is the same for all materials.
